The human instrument including the chakras is a vast network of vibrations Our physical and subtle states are determined by how well-tuned these vibrations are. If these are weakened or held in check we become out of balance and lose contact with ourselves. The simplest way to bring these vibrations into harmony is through the natural healing power of the voice.

This workshop will be focussed on various forms of toning through vowels, consonants and seed syllables drawn from Eastern traditions. Related to this will be the ritualising of natural sounds such as laughter, intoning Taoist sounds for the organs and sounding mantras. These will be complemented by simple movements that direct and encourage our sounds. The refining of the vibrations becomes a form of meditation. As an adjunct modality we will listen to tuning forks for sympathetically vibrating our nervous system. No previous experience is necessary, only the deep intent for inner transformation.
